I can’t quite believe it’s December.
Even after 5 years in Australia I still can’t get into the Christmas spirit.
It’s meant to be dark and cold outside. Mum and Dad have lots of snow as we speak and I’m envious.
I’ve got the fondest memory of this beautiful, tranquil time.
Sitting around the table eating Christmas cookies and watching the candles burn on the window sills.
It’s a very special time.
Time to reflect, time to slow down and enjoy each others company as the days get shorter and the open fire flickers and warms the house.
Instead, we are having brekky outside, opening our first advent calendar present in shorts and spending our sunday with friends in the park. Maybe one day this will set in as Christmas memories…when not for me than for the little man.
Happy 1st advent everybody.
